A Lovely Year

Posted by Darling Husband under Blackberry

Thanks for a beautiful First of many… InsyaAllah.

From your loving husband…

First sunrise - A new day has begun.

As the silence of the night was being ushered away by the avian melodies, it would seem that the lethargic vessel had given its final wave to the aching bodies, while our conciousness nudged by the ray of a new dawn. A new day … A new chapter…

Meaf Samosa

Posted by Darling Husband under Blackberry

We’re back in Brisbane. Kitchen still empty, so we decided to go out for dinner.

We went to this newly renovated halal shop called Mr. India and Z & A Grill House. We ordered the Beef Burger Meal and Southern Fried Chicken.

We were tempted to order the Meaf Samosa, - secret ingredient being meat mice - daging tikus, but I guess we were more in the mood for chicken rather than mice HAHAHA. Dahsyat tak dahsyat jual daging tikus???

The chicken was no KFC but it was nicely cooked eventhough the crispy coating could be better.

The burger was alright. Soft and succulent but not too beefy. It was good overall. I don’t think a beef burger could be more than just a burger anyway.

The best part of the meal… The French Fries believe it or not. It’s actually not that common to find fries. Usually we get chips instead - NO, they’re NOT the same. Anyway, time to go home.

Darling Harbour - the Sequel

Posted by Darling Husband under Blackberry

After having some so called chocolate, we went to the Chinese Garden. Apparently, we were mistaken before about the chinese garden. It was obvious that we were lost again the last time. Looked nice…. Nice enough for us not to have to pay the fee to go inside.

We then headed to Harbourside to have a late Lunch at Fish at Darlings. We had promised the proprieter that we’ll come back later and we fulfilled that promise.

Unfortunately the menus such as Wonton Seafood or Seafood Laksa were not available, so we settled with Mixed Grill Seafood - the Grilled Calamari was absolutely superb. Cooked to perfection.

Time to make our way home….

Chocoholics

Posted by Darling Husband under Blackberry

I’m officially a chocoholic. The San Churro’s experience had changed my life. But today, San Churro was not within our our reach. So we had to settle with Guylian Belgian Cafe.

I ordered the Guylian’s Chocolate Special. How disappointed I was as it was actually Coffee. I hate coffee. Anyway, darling wife ordered a Chocolate Banana Shake. It was passable.

Anyway, with my craving for chocolate unquenched, we set out for the next stop.

5th Day of Summer

Posted by Darling Husband under Blackberry

We checked out of the hotel around 1030. Left our luggage there and boarded the Sydney Explorer. Unfortunately, we never did manage to check out tthe hotel’s swimming pool or sauna etc. We did plan on taking a peek once we’ve bought some boarding shorts and flip flops but we never found decent ones…. Until….

We went on the bus and came accross the Paddy Market. It was a bargain souvenir hunter’s dream. It’s ln Market City in Chinatown. I take back what I said about Market City. This wa an awesome place to shop….. During the day. Not much at night. Since we bought a lot of souvenirs, we had to buy a luggage bag with it. There were also boarding shorts and flip flops but we had missed the boat I guess. We’ve already checked out.

Anyway, off to the Sydney Opera House, again…
